Antique 19th Century extremely rare Victorian Novelty spirit decanter in the form of a barrel, resting on a wooden stand, the body simulating a spirit barrel, working tap and original silver bucket, the top is set with a silver funnel.
Each part is Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), the barrel and the bucket London, year 1894 (T), Maker's mark JATS (John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater). The matched funnel is also Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), city of Sheffield, year 1901 (i), Maker's mark RMEH (Martin, Hall & Co).
