Antique 19th Century rare Victorian Gothic revival Solid Silver tea kettle on a spirit burner stand, massive size and extremely heavy gauge, the oval tapering body is chased with decorative bands depicting scrolling foliate on a matted ground, pull-off lid, upright handle and foliate-embellished tapering spout, it rests on an oval stand with four claw and ball feet leading to scrolled supports and a central removable burner.

This is an exceptionally large, heavy and unusual piece. Each part is original and fully Hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), London, year 1877 (B), Maker's mark RH (Robert Harper, very fine silversmith).
