Antique 19th Century Victorian exceptional Solid Silver & Cut Glass large, decorative Wine Claret jug, the baluster body featuring a hobnail-cut design, the solid silver collar is cast with an incredible realistically modelled organic design featuring grapevine in relief, cast handle modelled as a grapevine branch, the hinged lid is surmounted by a lion holding a shield. This is an exceptional and magnificent piece. Both parts bearing the same initials in a shield, and are fully Hallmarked English Silver (925 Standard), Birmingham, year 1880 (f), Maker's mark IBC (J B Carrington, great silversmith).
