DESCRIPTION
Antique 19th Century Victorian solid silver four piece tea & coffee service, comprising of a coffee pot, tea pot, sugar bowl and cream jug, each shaped body resting on a spreading cast floral stand, the body chased and embossed with roses and leaves, extremely decorative and well made design. The c-shaped scroll handles leaf caped, the hinged covers set with lovely cast finials modelled as roses, inside parcel gilt. Each piece is hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), teapot, sugar, and creamer made by John Edward Terrey & Co of London, dated 1842 (G), Coffee pot is identical but dated 1892 (R) and made by Charles Stuart Harris of London.
