DESCRIPTION

Antique 19th Century Victorian Solid Silver large and heavy matched four piece tea and coffee set, consisting of coffee pot, tea pot, sugar bowl and cream jug. Each piece features a wonderful and very decorative Louis Style design, the sides are embossed with leaves, flowers and scrolls, cast leaf-capped handles and embellished spouts. Very fine, impressive quality and great condition, the set is all by the same silversmith but the coffee pot was made later and then matched, hence why the crest is different, the teapot bearing a memorial inscription dated 1887. The cream jug and the sugar bowl are parcel gilt and the coffee pot and teapot have a hinged lid surmounted by a finial realistically modeled as an eagle.
