This is one of the most impressive and exceptional Elkington's figural centerpieces ever made, over 60 cm tall and beautifully detailed.
The base bears the silver plated marks "E&Co", for Elkington & Co, one of the most important Victorian manufacturers, letter "0" for year 1853. The base is also engraved "PUB. BY ELKINGTON & CO, JULY 1854".
