Antique mid-19th Century Scottish solid silver wine cooler, of large size and extremely heavy gauge, campana-form, the tapering body is applied with two cast scroll handles and with grapevine decoration, the cover is surmounted by a large fruit finial and grapevine leaves. This is an extremely large and heavy piece, due to the large size it can be used as a wine or champagne cooler.

Each part is fully Hallmarked Scottish silver (925 Standard), Edinburgh, year 1842 (L), Maker's mark M&S (Marshall & Sons), bearing a family crest and contemporary inscription.

CONDITION

In Excellent Condition - No Damage.
