Antique 19th Century Regency solid silver table snuff box, particularly large size, of rectangular form, the cushioned sides are beautifully chased with a floral decoration in relief, the cover applied with cast scrolls and floral border and scroll thumb-piece, the lid and base is engine-turned, richly gilt throughout. The cover engraved with a family crest, inside engraved "Presented to Capt James Murray by the officers & NCOs of the Trafford Volunteers June 1845,"
