Antique mid-19th Century Victorian Solid Silver tea kettle on stand, fitted with a burner, impressively large and very heavy, lobed body chased with scrolling foliage and flowers, domed hinged cover featuring the same decoration, the kettle rests on a three feet stand fitted with the original solid silver burner.

Hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), London, the kettle year 1842 (D), all the other parts (including the lid) year 1853 (S), on each part Maker's mark RH (for Robert Hennell II). The difference in date suggests that the kettle is matched, although this might have happened within the silversmith's workshop.

CONDITION

In Great Condition - no damage, just general wear.
