Antique 19th Century Georgian Solid Silver three piece tea set, consisting of tea pot, sugar bowl and cream jug, each piece extremely crisp and heavy, profusely chased with scrolls, shells and leaves, each body is applied with a cast bas-relief depicting Neptune on a chariot pulled by sea-horses and other deities, the teapot's handle is embellished with leaves, the spout with mermaids. The sugar bowl and the cream jug are richly parcel gilt, the scroll handles are surmounted by female heads.
This is one of the most incredible and exceptional tea sets, crisp and detailed, exceptionally decorative.
Each part is Hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), London, year 1826 (l), Maker's mark JET (John Edward Terrey, important silversmith specializing in highly decorative silver pieces).

In Great Condition - no damage, just general wear.
