Antique 19th Century rare Georgian Solid Silver beer jug / flagon, baluster form, impressively large size, the body is chased with a scrolling foliage, each side with a lovely courteous scene in a fantastical landscape, cast leaf-capped scroll handle. The embossed decoration is later, probably dating to the Victorian period when a more decorative style came in to fashion.
The piece is Hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), London, year 1823 (h), Maker's mark WEWF (William Eley & William Fearn).
CONDITION
In Great condition - no damage, just general wear.
