Antique 18th Century Georgian Solid Silver tea kettle on a three feet burner stand, the body is profusely chased with scrolls and flowers, the domed hinged cover terminates with a cast acorn finial, embellished spout, swing-handle, the kettle rests on a three-feet stand and burner.
The kettle is engraved with a family crest and a coat of arms.
The kettle, lid, burner and burner's lid are Hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), London, year 1745 (k), Maker's mark WG (William Grundy). No visible hallmarks on the stand (tested 925 standard) that appears to be original and matching in style.
CONDITION
No visible marks on the stand. The wooden handle has a chip.
