Antique 18th Century pair of rare Georgian Solid Silver sauce boats, each exceptionally large and heavy, of typical helmet-form, cast leaf-capped scroll handle, applied cast gadrooned rim, on an oval foot with similar decoration. Each boat is engraved with a family crest.

This magnificent pair of sauce boats is the best in terms of design, size and quality, outstanding weight.

Each piece is Hallmarked English Silver (925 standard), London, one year 1767 (m), Maker's mark IP EW (John Parker I & Edward Wakelin).
