18th Century Georgian Silver cake basket, beautifully pierced of oval form with a twist swinging handle, the edge is applied with a twist rope boarder, the inside engraved with a family crests. Hallmarked English silver (925), London, year 1765 (k), Maker's mark E.A for Elizabeth Aldridge.

DESCRIPTION
Antique 18th Century Georgian Solid Silver cake basket, beautifully pierced of oval form with a twist swinging handle, the edge is applied with a twist rope boarder, the inside engraved with a family crests (possibly the Smyth family).
Both the basket and the handle are hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, year 1765 (k), Maker's mark E.A (Elizabeth Aldridge, rare female silversmith, widow of Edward Aldridge Senior).
CONDITION
In Great Condition - No damage, just general wear.
