Antique 18th Century Georgian Solid Silver lidded Tankard, of baluster form with applied beaded girdle, parcel gilt, large scroll handle terminating in a heart motif and a scroll thumb-piece. The body is later embossed and chased with scrolls and flowers (as often happened in the Victoria era), vacant cartouches on both sides. Hallmarked English Silver (925 standard) on both parts, London, year 1779 (d), Maker's mark HB (Hester Bateman, the most important female silversmith of all time).

In Great Condition - no damage, just general wear.
