Antique 18th Century extremely rare and impressively large Georgian Hester Bateman Solid Silver Salver tray, with beaded border, on four cast claw-and-ball feet. The centre is hand engraved with initials. The piece is particularly large, heavy and impressive, a rare example by the great silversmith Hester Bateman.
Hallmarked English Silver (925 standard), London, year 1781 (f), Maker's mark HB (Hester Bateman, the most important female silversmith of all times).
