Description
Antique 18th Century extremely rare and exceptional Georgian Solid Silver set of four cast candlesticks, each on a shaped square base engraved with a crest, with baluster stem, original detachable nozzles. Each piece is Hallmarked English Silver (925 standard), London, year 1741 (f), Maker's mark IG (James Gould, important Georgian silversmith who specialized in candlesticks). Each base and nozzle are also numbered from one to four. This is a magnificent set: it's extremely rare to have a complete set of four George II cast candlesticks with original nozzles in such great condition.
