Antique late-19th Century Austrian solid silver & hand painted enamel jewellery box shaped as a carriage, with highly decorative silver-gilt framed windows and doors, applied with feather-spoked wheels and beautifully hand enameled with romantic courting scenes in the 18th century taste that adorn the sides, roof and complete interior.
Doors and windows set with beveled glass and the roof applied with four decorative silver finials, winged angel in the center, and two carriage lamps to each side, the front and back with storage trunks with hindged lids. Hallmarked with Austrian silver guarantee marks (tested 800+ silver standard), Vienna, circa 1890, Makers mark indistinguishable.
