Antique 19th Century Austrian solid silver and gem-set white agate bowl, the round bowl mounted on top and the body applied with suspended laurel garlands and old cut garnet in intersections. Twin handles imitating scrolling foliage and flowers. Standing on a reeded base with spreading feet, applied with laurel branches to each side. The piece is in excellent condition, very decorative and precious.

The piece is probably Austrian - such precious gem-set pieces are topically Viennese. Hallmarked 800 (800+ silver standard), Maker HB (Unknown) dates to the 1870-1890.
