19th Century Austro-Hungarian Empire Silver gilt and hand-painted Enamel miniature tea service, comprising of a tray, a covered teapot, a covered sugar bowl, milk jug and two cups and saucers. Each silver part is richly gilt, each piece is enamelled with hand-painted Rococo style loving scenes and courting couples surrounded by a scrolling foliage applied with a gilt decoration in relief. The reverse of the tray depicts an exceptionally lush landscape and the inside of the cup is embellished by flying birds. Hallmarked Austro-Hungarian silver (letter "A" for Vienna), year 1880-90, Maker's mark "LP" for Ludwig Politzer.

Each silver mount is Hallmarked Austro-Hungarian silver (letter "A" for Vienna), year 1880-90, Maker's mark "LP" (Ludwig Politzer, one of the greatest Austrian enamellist, please follow this link to a very similar set sold in Christie's for over $8000 in 2008 and this link to a large Nef made in the same style sold for over $40,000 in Sotheby's 2007).

In Excellent Condition - no damage, just general wear.
