DESCRIPTION
Antique 19th Century Victorian Solid Silver inkwell on stand, richly gilded, the stand of elongated form, beautifully pierced and embossed with scrolls and fruits, set with an impressive silver-gilt mounted cut-glass inkwell, made in a similar organic design. The tray is engraved with scrolls and flowers and bears a memorial inscription: "John Hill from Thomson Hankey 1 Aug 1865".
Each silver part is Hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), London, year 1852 (R), Maker's mark CTF CH (Charles Thomas Fox & George Fox, very important Victorian silversmiths).
CONDITION
In Great Condition - just general wear.
