20th Century pair of American Silver table ornaments modelled as male and female pheasants, each statue is extremely large and heavy, naturalistic and well-refined, perfect to use as a table or fireplace ornament.
One of the two is Hallmarked American "STERLING" (925 silver standard), and bears the manufacturer / retailer's mark "Marshall Field & Co", an upscale department store in Chicago founded in 1852, they are both engraved with the name "R. H. MORSE". The pair dates to 1910's.
