Antique 19th Century French solid silver oval dish, of exceptionally high quality and extremely heavy gauge, beautifully engraved with scrolls and flowers and iapplied with cast laurel leaf borders tied with cross ribbons. Flanked by shell handles within floral reserves. Hallmarked French Minerva (950 silver standard), Paris, inventory number 2483, Makers mark for Odiot.

Antique early-20th Century Japanese Meiji period solid silver floral glass covered dish, exceptional and magnificent quality, the boarder in delicate filigree and the centre applied with silver and enameled panels decorated with chrysanthemum bouquets, water lilies and wisteria flowers. Signed below by Kouei and acid tested showing (950+ silver standard).
