ANTIQUE 20thC RUSSIAN SOLID SILVER & LACQUER CIGARETTE CASE c.1910

Antique early 20th Century Russian solid silver & hand painted lacquered cigarette case. Stunning quality, richly parcel gilt, the cover depicting a troika of horses pulling a sleigh with a family thought the snow covered forest. Very high quality of the workmanship and very well painted. The hinge is tight and the sapphire mounted clasp is very strong, clicks when shut. Hallmarked Russian Silver (875 Standard), St-Petersburg, Maker “JA” for Jorgan Allenius.

Antique early 20th Century German solid silver cigarette case. The silver has been hand engraved with a floral and scroll band with the initials FE below and applied with a sapphire stone to the lid. Hallmarked German silver (800 grade silver), circa 1900.
