Antique mid-19th Century Victorian rare set of four solid silver wine bottle coasters, circular form, the border features a finely pierced decoration, shaped gadroon boarders, set with turned wood bases, engraved with griffin head crests. Each piece is Hallmarked English silver (925 Standard), London, two year 1840 (E) Maker's mark CF (Charles Fox II).

ANTIQUE 19thC VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER ARMADA JUG, LONDON c.1887

Antique 19th Century Victorian impressive solid silver "Armada" pattern jug, with scroll handle, the hinged lid has an ornate finial and the lid opens by squeezing the handle trigger, baluster body, domed circular foot, the body is profusely decorated in relief with embossed flowers, foliage and scrolls on a matted ground. The body also features two vacant cartouches flanked by cast winged mermaid and mermen, and a cast leopard's head at belly front. Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, year 1887 (M), Maker's mark R.M.E.H Martin, Hall & Co (Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall)
