ANTIQUE 20thC INDIAN SOLID SILVER 28th REGIMENT EWER, P.ORR & SONS c.1900
20th Century Indian Colonial silver regimental (28th Regiment) commemorative wine ewer, the top band is beautifully chased and repousse' decorated depicting Hindu gods and goddesses in elaborate cartooches, and the bottom applied with a intertwining snake climbing up the jug, the unusually shaped handle applied with foliage, and lid mounted with a figural finial.
