ANTIQUE 20thC EDWARDIAN SOLID SILVER 'KINGS HUSSARS' CENTREPIECE c.1914

20th Century Edwardian large & one of a kind military centrepiece, the central cannon shaped column applied with intertwining laurel garlands and terminating with a large bowl, the sides of the column decorated with three realistically modelled Hussars in various regimental outfits standing on a matted ground. The ebonized wooden base applied with a large laurel leaf band and ribbons, standing on three lion paw feet. Both sides applied with plaques, one of the 'The Kings Hussars' and the motto 'Honi soit qui mal y pense' a French maxim used as the motto of the British chivalric Order of the Garter. It is translated as "May he be shamed who thinks badly of it". The other side bears a presentation shield, engraved 'Presented to Captain Charles Nelson, on his marriage by his brother officers 17th February 1910. Charles Nelson was a captain of the 15th (The King's) Hussars.

ANTIQUE 20thC RUSSIAN EMPIRE SOLID SILVER & CUT GLASS VASE, KHLEBNIKOV c.1910

20th Century Russian empire style silver & cut glass vase, of straight cylindrical form, the glass cut with star facets and ellipses, the base mount applied with intertwining ribbon tied laurel leaf branches, laurel wreathes with centred flowers, the glass covered with ribbon tied flame torches with suspended floral garlands.

Hallmarked Russian Silver 84 (875), Moscow (1908-1917), Maker's mark in Cyrillic Khlebnikov for Ivan Khlebnikov.

20th Century Imperial Russian Faberge silver kovsh, of traditional shape with plain polished surface, the cartouche shaped handle set with a silver rouble depicting Catherine the Great.

Hallmarked Russian silver 84 (875 standard), St-Petersburg, Assay master Yakov Lyapunoc active 1898-1903, Maker's mark J.W for Jenny Wakeva, K,Faberge in Cyrillic beneath an Imperial warrant.

20th Century Imperial Russian Pan-Slavic style silver tea cutlery set. Consisting of a caddy spoon, sugar tongs, lemon fork and tea strainer.
