19th Century Swiss 18k gold snuff box, the lid decorated with a delicately hand painted miniature depicting a mother and child surrounded by graduating fresh water pearls, engine-turned decoration on lid, sides and base, applied with dark blue translucent enamel, within light blue boarders and urns.

Engraved with crowned maker mark RPC (unknown to me)

ANTIQUE 19thC VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER FOX STIRRUP CUP, JOHN SAMUEL HUNT c.1846

19th Century Victorian silver stirrup cup, the head realistically cast as a fox with ears pricked, richly gilt interior, plain collar with a step boarder. Victorian stirrup cups modelled as foxes are extremely rare and sought, especially ones made by silversmiths with Royal Warrants.

Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), London, year 1846 (L), Maker's mark ISH (John Samuel Hunt), inventory number 2750.
